Instructions

  1. Print Painted Switchplate Craft patterns.
  2. Turn pattern over and use pencil to blacken back of pattern.
  3. Place painting pattern right side up on light switch cover and trace over lines of painting pattern to transfer pattern. Remove pattern.
  4. Place small amounts of paint on paper plate or palette as needed. Apply a second coat of paint if needed for complete coverage, letting paints dry between coats.

APPLE PAINTED SWITCHPLATE:

  1. Use flat brush to paint the apple red, the leaf green and the stem brown. Let dry.
  2. Use flat brush to paint apple bite white. Use liner and white to add highlights to apple as shown on pattern.
  3. Use liner and dark green to outline leaf and add vein. Let dry.
  4. Use liner and brown to outline apple as shown on pattern. Let dry.
  5. If desired, paint one screw head brown to match stem and one screw head red to match apple.
  6. Spray light switch cover with sealer.

VEGGIE PAINTED SWITCHPLATE:

  1. Use flat brush to paint the tomato red, the carrots orange and the cucumbers green. Let dry.
  2. Use liner and brown to outline carrots and tomato and to add details as shown on pattern.
  3. Use liner and dark green to outline cucumbers and to add several tiny dots to cucumbers as shown on pattern.
  4. Using dark green and nearly dry flat brush, lightly paint carrot tops with a dabbing motion.
  5. Use liner and white to add highlight to tomato as shown on pattern.
  6. If desired, paint one screw head green to match cucumbers.
  7. Spray light switch cover with sealer.

Finished Size: Painted Switchplates are 2-3/4 inches wide x 4-1/4 inches long.
